New York Travel Guide and Map App Reviews

At first sight the fact this App works offline has concerned me. But to my surprise it worked perfectly, especially as in the underground new york subway most of telephones doesnt work online anyway.

Dont Travel to NYC without it!

Used the offline map most of the time because I didnt have data plan on my UAE SIM card. You can even search places and the GPS will take you there! Amazing !

Surely this is one of the best app! 2 good improvements would be add more known places and the possibility to manually specify an unknown place. A function to organize like a calendar would be nice too.

I was expecting some relation between the information on the Application and an easy way to locate the attraction, but it was not there. Is it too difficult to hyperlink the address so you can click on it at go directly to a map application? State what subway station is close by? Buses .. etc. The information is well presented, it makes you want to go there.. and then .. how do we go? I have an Iphone that does EVERYTHING but this application limits itself to the functions of a paper book.

My friends and I used this app a few weeks ago in New York and it was great. It gave lots of background information for history buffs on all the major attractions and totally beat lugging a guide book around!!! Plus the GPS map saved us loads of time when we got lost in central park!!!!

The application is a very nice but there are a few things that could be better. For exemple, if I search fast food on the map it doesnt show me or if I search for a Mc donald also wont give me, liquor store, etc. I tough it was more like the map application, you search anything and it will show you on the map. But at least I have a map offline! In my opinion, everything you need to know should be shown on the map, it would be more user friendly.
