New York Travel Guide and Map App Reviews

Downloaded the os 4 fix, and none of the problems below have been addressed Content is a rip off of Wikipedia. The formatting is awful. The font is too small, and if you spread your fingers to increase it, it runs off the screen. The built in font button, even at maximum is small. You cant rotate the screen to landscape. Nothing is current, so no broadway shows, what is on at museums....only wikipedia summaries. Maps have few if any landmarks, so it is hard to tell where you are. No recommendations or insights on what to see. I see why they only get 0.99 for this; since there is no original content, that is probably too much.

I was so glad the subway map was finally added...but there are still HUGE chunks of Brooklyn missing!! This map has pretty much limited its usefulness to manhattan :(

This is a great app. Was finding my way to the Newark airport with some lines shut off for repairs. The subway map and the map of the city with gps helped me find my way quickly and not miss my flight. Expansion of Brooklyn would be a nice addition

Recently used this app for our first visit to New York and loved it. Very easy to use while walking the streets since it does not need wireless or Internet access. Only shortcoming is that it does not have enough info on the best places to eat or updated reviews for restaurants. Still would recommend strongly this application to anyone traveling to New York.

Dont buy it. NYCWAY is free and a much much better app

Used it to get to Brooklyn bridge and around downtown.

This app provided great background on sites of the city.

I love the 2Go and always use it specially the improved transportation feature.

This app has bugs. It no longer links the menu selections to the text, less than 24h after downloading it. Cant believe something so simple isnt working. By the time I get the update, I wont be in NY. Shame on the authors.

Used this app on first trip to Manhattan. Good app for subway and history but would have liked more restaurant and shopping info.

Poor coverage - doesnt look like much research done on site. You can look on the internet to get similar value

Very nice app , love you can be looking on the map an tap on another to where an what train or tube to catch very nice . And of course bookmark your favorite !

Fantastic app. First used it in London and now New York. Its current, fast, comprehensive and easy to use.

Love how I can plot places on the map and find places without having to be online. Only wish this app could tell me how far it is between 2 places.

Use this for anywhere and everywhere. Great for planning trips as you can place your own pins for poi

Im going to New York soon and I just got this app and decided to look around it to see if its any good. And yes, it was very good. You dont need wifi to view anything, and you can easily look for things in New York. For example, shopping centres or a subway map, and food. You can see all this without wifi! Truly amazing. I will be looking forward to using this app a lot when I go to New York.

Great app for someone travelling to a new destination. Its linked to cloud so its on all my devices. Great app, I highly recommend. Enjoy.
